Keeping a healthy sex drive is linked to feeling physically and emotionally, happy, stable, energetic and healthy.

I think it comes to no surprise that food can help enhance of getting you back into the sex groove. If you’ve hit a slump in the bedroom, it may be wise to take a closer look at your diet and nutrition.

It’s commonly perceived that foods that look like body parts can boost your sex drive. In general, any health food is beneficial to your libido; however, certain foods are particularly helpful. Walnuts, meat, oysters, strawberries, avocados, almonds, salmon, nuts and seeds, garlic, dark chocolate, eggs, cherries and bulletproof coffee.

These foods are packed with stimulating nutrients that can help perk up your libido and may improve your overall health, too.

Proteins are essential for our overall health. Our cells depend on amino acids for regeneration of tissues. So it’s vital to include a variety of meats in your diet to improve your sex drive and sex life. Beef, chicken, and lamb, rabbit contain carnitine, L-arginine, and zinc. Carnitine and L-arginine are amino acids that help improve blood flow. Fluent blood flow is essential for our overall health. Uninterrupted blood flow is critical to sexual response in both men and women. According to research, these two nutrients may effectively treat erectile dysfunction in some men.

Please note that too much coffee is not good either. Try to stick to no more than one cup a day. Coffee is also an irritant to your digestive system and may cause inflammation.

Salmon is one of my favourite fish and is popular for having heart-healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fats help prevent the buildup of plaque in your arteries, thus, again, is helpful for keeping our blood flow running and to help protect our heart health. Salmon helps feed our libido by supplying the building blocks for the production of hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone.

Almonds/Walnuts arouse passion in females

There is something about the aroma of almonds which is purported to arouse passion in females. Walnuts and almonds have been the symbol of fertility in art. Besides that, they are also a prime source of healthy fatty acids like omega-3, which, again, help with hormone production.

Your mother might have warned you to never eat garlic before going on a date, but in this case, this is one piece of advice you may ignore.
